Plenary 2 - Dreaming a Different World: Covid-19 and Beyond
The pandemic has been an apocalyptic event, revealing multiple interlocking crises of our social/political/economic reality. As the dynamics of systemic racism and economic injustice are laid bare, we see clearly why some have been more vulnerable than others. Since December 2020, Allan Boesak and Anna Case-Winters have been part of an ongoing global conversation led by the World Communion of Reformed Churches in which representative leaders from churches all across the globe have been meeting together. Profs. Boesak and Case-Winters will share the gleanings of these conversations and the gathering consensus that our situation is a "global apartheid" that must be dismantled.
